ABOUT ME
Native New Yorker Gwendolyn Cahill is the creator of Detective Swoop. She is a graduate of the University of Hartford's Mass Communications undergraduate program and holds a Master of Science and Advanced Certificate in Communication Studies from The College of New Rochelle. Her passion for justice, comedy and mysteries is showcased in her writing. She is a charter member of Lambda Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Gwen has a fond love of art and music, which is showcased in many of her writings. After 26 years of service in Westchester County government she retired. She is a former caseworker and sold real estate in Westchester County, NY. Cahill is a volunteer at the Virginia Repertory Theater. She has sung in a number of gospel choirs in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia, including the McDonald's Gospel Choir. She also performed in the combined choir at the funeral for Congressman Donald Payne, Sr. at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey, and sang at the Prudential Center in Newark at a tribute for Whitney Houston. Gwen enjoys movies, singing, plays, and travel. She is the proud mother of twins, and enjoys singing to her grandson.
